One of the coolest gigs I've had recently was doing sketch cards for CONTEMPORARY PIN-UPS card sets. Their recent set, which comes out very soon, is the Puzzle Jam set, where one artist does one side of the card, and another artist does the other side, making a cool puzzle set. It's fun and challenging to do work to compliment the other artists sketch. I got to work with some amazing artists on this set!
CONTEMPORARY PIN UPS has been one of the funnest and satisfying sketch card set I've worked with and I hope to continue working with them. Such a great set!
So, look out for this set. They will be some available at Wizard World Chicago and on Ebay on August 8th.
Here is some of the work I've done for the set. Check 'em out!
Sketch cards I did with Rudes Tamales
Sketch Cards I did with Charles Bristow
Sketch cards I did with Fer Galicia
Sketch cards I did with Randi LeeAnn
and here is my base card for the set-

AN UPDATE WITHOUT A CLEVER TITLE BUT WITH JAZZ HANDS!
It's been a busy past few weeks, so mayhaps it be time for an update!
Mostly, on the art front, I've been getting things together for the upcoming events in the next few months.
Made a huge sign for convention appearances, just gotta figure out how to display it.
A few new paintings that I hope to have on display and for sale at galleries and conventions coming up.
And took a weekend trip to Ann Arbor to see Neil Gaiman and some friends. Which inspired me to do an Endless piece.
I love Ann Arbor. Always have. Had some great times in the 80's out there, and this trip was a blast too, although, cuz I'm still suffering from kidney stones and a stent inside of me, I wasn't quite up to all the walking I used to do. One more lithotripsy and hopefully they'll pull that damn stent out of me and I can get some energy and exercise going. Plan on heading out to Ann Arbor more often.
